Our school provides opportunities for students, staff and parents to know and celebrate their Catholic faith. This is done through the religious life of our school. Members of our community experience a rich liturgical and prayer life, celebration of the Sacraments, faith formation, social outreach activities, and opportunities to share faith with each other and with youth from other schools in the Archdiocese.
At Patrician Brothers’ College Fairfield, the Catholic formation of our students is consistently at the fore of what we do. The college views this as our primary purpose as a Catholic school.
To enhance the faith, prayer and the Sacramental life of the college, many opportunities are provided to our students in order for them to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the Catholic tradition and ultimately their relationship with God.
The college provides a dynamic and committed evangelisation program with multiple facets to suit the spiritual needs of the students in our care. These include year group formation days, retreats, a vibrant Youth Ministry program, RCIA, an altar serving program, regular Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and Reconciliation. Such works are strongly supported by priests from our local and feeder parishes along with our college chaplain.
The Lorica Prayer (Based on the Breastplate of St Patrick)
The Breastplate of St Patrick prayer references the omnipresence of Jesus; that he is everywhere, not just in our world, but in our lives as well. We pray this every morning and on special occasions.
