History
Vineyards and a winery owned by the Dries Family once occupied the land that the College now stands on. At the invitation of Cardinal Gilroy, the Patrician Brothers established a Primary and Secondary School for boys in Fairfield in 1953.
The Patrician Brothers were founded by Bishop Daniel Delany in 1808 and are named after their patron, Saint Patrick. The Brothers were deeply committed to Delany’s maxim, to provide an “education for all”.
The College has grown tremendously and now caters for approximately 1150 students and continues the vision of Delany in seeking to recognise and proclaim the presence of Christ in all people and in all of creation.
Charism
The Patrician Charism is centred on the person of Jesus Christ and is characterised by a sense of welcome, recognising the person of Christ in all people and hospitality by responding to the needs of others.
Vision
Achieving excellence in Catholic Education within a holistic and flourishing Patrician learning community.
Mission
To evangelise through a Christ-centred education for all
