Congratulations to the Patrician Brothers’ College Fairfield Class of 2024 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) results!
We recorded 52 Distinguished Achievers and one All Rounder, with 19 per cent of our students receiving an ATAR above 85.
College dux Mason Phothisaranasouk received an ATAR of 99.2. Another 13 students received ATARs above 90 including Slevin Ng (90.05).
We are proud to have four students who have topped their courses in the Sydney Archdiocese:
- Maths Extension 1 – Paul Vu (98)
- English Advanced – Beazley Dang (96)
- Economics – Slevin Ng & Mason Phothisaranasouk (95)
Patrician Brothers’ Principal Peter Wade congratulated Year 12 on their effort and achievements, noting “amazing results from our students with diverse learning needs”.
“We are thrilled with the remarkable growth in our academic performance, particularly in Advanced English, all Mathematics courses, Studies of Religion 1 and 2,” Mr Wade said.
“I commend the boys who, despite facing various challenges – whether personal, academic, or external – have shown resilience and determination.
“Their ability to rise above these adversities, show up each day, and give their personal best is truly inspiring.”
SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM
Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has achieved outstanding results in the 2024 HSC with 13 of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 150 high schools in NSW.
SCS recorded an impressive 2819 Distinguished Achievers, 42 Top Achievers and 45 All Rounders.
Notably, eight SCS students received HSC First in Course honours.
SCS students also completed 1,921 VET courses, and earned 280 HSC Showcase Nominations across the Creative and Performing Arts, and Technology and Applied Studies.
