Patrician Brothers’ College Fairfield congratulate Jordan Miller on being selected to play for the prestigious Australian Schoolboys Rugby League Team. Jordan will be competing with the team in Fiji on Saturday, September 24. This Fijian tour is an exciting opportunity for Jordan to represent Australia and to connect with his Fijian heritage, with a visit to his Grandmother’s village. Jordan is very proud of his Fijian and Maori heritage.

Jordan joined Patrician Brothers’ College Fairfield as a Year 10 student. Jordan’s family, as well as the College Staff and peers who have supported him, recently watched proudly as he completed his final day of Year 12 and participated in graduation ceremonies on September 21.

It has been a stellar year on the football field for Jordan, under the guidance of Head Coach Frank Pritchard, Assistant Coach William Bourke, Team Manager Lisa Coluccio and Head Trainer Joshua Institoris-Morgan. 2022 definitely points towards a bright future for this dedicated and talented
young man. As an outstanding front row forward, Jordan is a representative player in the U/17 West Magpies Harold Matthews team. On April 30, at Commonwealth Bank Stadium, the West Magpies were victorious in the Harold Matthews competition. Jordan’s passion for the game was evident, as well
as his notable grit and determination and these qualities were recognised as he was awarded the Grand Final Harold Matthews Man of the match, Harold Matthews Player of the series and Player of the year for West Magpies.

Jordan was named in the NSW Blues City Representative Team who defeated the Country Representatives at 4 Pines Park, Brookvale, on Saturday May 14. Jordan was also selected to the Sydney Catholic Schools’ Representative Team, contributing to their successful run as the undefeated champions for 2022. An extraordinary and valuable front row forward, Jordan then progressed to the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC) Rugby League Team and was awarded the Most Valued Player for the CCC Team.

To cap off a triumphant year, Jordan was part of the successful, also undefeated, Patrician Brothers’ Fairfield team in the Peter Mulholland NRL Schoolboy Cup competition. Jordan led the blue and blue to a comeback victory for Pats Fairfield defeating Hills Sports High by 20-16. This was a special moment for the College as it was 30 years ago that Patrician Brothers’ College Fairfield last appeared in the Grand Final Schoolboy Cup competition defeating Harristown State High School Toowoomba by 1 point in 1992.

As one of three most sought-after young players for 2023, Jordan has agreed to undertake a pathways contract with West Tigers in 2023 and 2024. We are confident that Jordan has a wonderful future ahead of him. Patrician Brothers’ College Fairfield is very proud of Jordan’s achievements and wish him every success, both on and off the football field. We congratulate Jordan again on his selection in the Australian Schoolboys Rugby League team and wish him and his team every success for their tour.
